The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Livermore Wine Country consistently receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and convenient location near the freeway and Livermore’s dining scene. While some reviews note the need for room updates and occasional cleanliness concerns, the overall experience is considered a good value for travelers, especially those seeking a convenient base for exploring the area.
Very nice hotel. Rooms and beds were clean. Even had a balcony I could go out on. Most time the balconies are just for show. Will definitely be staying again some time.
Friendly, professional staff. Convenient location. Easy parking. Clean and spotless. As someone who travels for work - which means a lot of driving- I appreciate a hotel with a great bed and who has taken the money to invest in soundproofing. (There is nothing worse than a guest above or next to you who wakes you up with their stomping and noise) I’d stay here again happily!
This is a great hotel. Good customer service and the Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Located near great shopping and food. So-so breakfast, suitable for families. I would definitely stay here again ? M. W 3/2026
What an incredible experience we had. We were driving thru after a long concert in SF and needed to find a place. We called an few places and all said no, decided to drop in Hawthorne and the desk agent was insanely kind and very friendly. She was very accommodating. Same holds true for the morning staff member. The breakfast options were similar to other continental breakfasts so nothing extraordinary here. Room was large and spacious. Plenty of storage. Very comfortable. Large bathroom. Highly recommend because if the service and comfort
The hotel staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. The appearance of the hotel is modern. The room and beds were super comfortable. Very spacious, and not to mention such a great value for your money. Located right off the freeway and just a short mile and a half drive to the beautiful downtown Livermore Nightlife.
Check in was easy and the gentleman who was working the front desk was friendly. The room was dated but clean. The bed was just okay. The breakfast was horrible. Didn't expect anything fancy, just your regular hotel offerings but the omelette were burned, the sausage greasy, the bread selection was dry. But the worst thing was my husband finding hair in the scrambled eggs. If you just need a bed there are cheaper options.
Five days a week i drive 110 miles roundtrip through one of, if not the worst, commutes in California: San Jose to Tracy via 880/680/580/205 through The Altamont Pass. Cars and trucks of all shapes an sizes clog all lanes trying to make it home, to work or wherever! One hour and forty-five minutes is normal. Once in a while, like two days ago, a vehicle crash, even in the opposite direction, shuts down the entire freeway and chokes off the route for me and thousands of my fellow commuters leaving only a couple of two-lane rural roads as alternate routes. Google maps estimated my commute time at 5 hours which meant I would arrive home after my usual bedtime of 9PM. Decision time: Sit in traffic for 5+ hours or get a room at the Hawthorn Suites in Livermore. Guess what I chose? In a matter of minutes I booked a room (through the Hotels.com App) that was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The friendly front desk staff heard about the crash and when I told them I was a last minute booking, the young lady smiled and said she was happy I decided to stay with them. She checked me in quickly, told me all about included breakfast in the morning and off I went to my room. I washed up, set my alarm and climbed into the comfy bed. My head hit the pillow and I was out until the next morning. Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt coffee and juice were all ready at 6AM as promised. I loaded up, grabbed a second cup of coffee and headed back to my office for another day. Unexpected bonus: My morning commute was cut in half! Double unexpected bonus: My evening commute home was lighter than normal. Thank goodness for Hawthorn Suites Livermore. You turned a potential nightmare night into a restful, peaceful night and better next day. See you next time!
A wonderful place to stay! The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was great, and having coffee available in the lobby area is appreciated. Plenty of safe parking. The front desk staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Livermore.
The views of the hotel are great, mountains on both sides of the hotel. Breakfast is fine in the morning and the staff is friendly! It’s a nice place to stay especially if you have to stay for more than a few days.
Would give a 5-star for room but water pressure is so bad that it wasted my time in longer shower and not feeling so relaxed while taking a shower! Wonder how much water they really save with my unusual LONG SHOWER!!
